You are probably thinking you missed three really great chapters. Maybe, but not from me. Have you ever decided to do something so far outside your comfort zone that you didn't really know where to start? While we all presume to start books at the beginning, a trip outside the comfort zone doesn't necessarily come with such a neat itinerary. Actually, it sort of writes itself as it happens. So, maybe Chapter Four is the right place to start. And hopefully, I don't get to the end before I've had a chance to visit the beginning. :-)
Check back soon for the mystery chapter. Who knows where my visit will take me!

Giving Thanks
At the risk of having co-workers read this, I am currently enduring the most brutally boring day at work in my entire professional life. Why, you may ask, would I be thankful for that? Because it prompted me to dig my iPod out of my purse to pump some uplifting music into my half-dead head. And that's when I discovered my adorable, thoughtful husband had loaded some new videos onto my iPod. I'm thankful for Dave and for some awesome new music videos.
I am also thankful for this insanely boring workday because there are so many who do not have the privilege of being paid to be bored to tears in a warm building with functioning plumbing and gobs of technology. Let alone blog about it. I pray they find warmth, comfort and love.
I'm thankful because it makes me even more excited to go home from work and chat with my beautiful daughters. We'll stand around the island in the kitchen and tell each other about our days - work, school, work. We'll all laugh about how close I came to full on nodding off at my desk.
I'm thankful because I have time to think about being with all three of my sisters for Thanksgiving. And when I think about that, I laugh. Time to stock up on pantyliners - a requirement when spending time with my sisters.
The music videos are great!
From the precipice of unconsciousness, I am prompted to be grateful. And in my awakened state, I give glory to God.
Happy Thanksgiving!
